The Little Children and Jesus

People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them.  When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”  And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.

Mark 10:13-16

Children are welcome to visit or attend services at any of our churches at any time

Parents and carers:

Relax! God put the wiggle in children. Don’t feel like you have to suppress it in God’s house.

You are welcome to sit towards the front where it’s easier for your little ones to see and hear what’s going on.

Please do quietly explain the parts of the service.

Join in - sing, pray, and voice responses. Children learn by copying your involvement!

If you have to leave the service with your child, feel free to do so, but come back!

We have toys, books and activity packs under the hymn book table!

If you have any ideas about how we can make your family feel more welcome or services or events you would like to attend our churches we would love to hear from you

If you need any help when you come to church please just ask and if you have any questions before you visit just contact our parish office

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."
